Selena Gomez is allegedly in talks to star in movie "The Seven Rays" which is based on Jessica Bendinger's debut novel of the same title. The speculation came out after people behind the book adaptation confirmed through Twitter that the Disney star met Jessica over lunch to discuss about the movie.
"Pretty jazzed that Jessica is lunching with Selena Gomez on Tuesday. So flattered that she and her mom love thesevenrays," the post dated November 21 on "The Seven Rays" page read. A couple hours later, another tweet was posted, "Hi Selena! Jessica is excited to have lunch on Tuesday and discuss The Seven Rays!"
"The Seven Rays" follows 17-year-old student named Beth Michaels who starts receiving gold envelopes with message read, "YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE." Not long after that, Beth begins seeing people's thoughts, feelings and personal histories, and decides to set a journey of self discovery.
Selena Gomez is the star of Disney's original series "Wizards of Waverly Place". She has played in several movies and TV movies, such as "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over", "Another Cinderella Story" and "Princess Protection Program." The 17-year-old will be seen in upcoming "Ramona and Beezus", which is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on August 13, 2010.

Shock rocker released from Interscope after poor album sales in the US
Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his record label Interscope after his last album sold poorly in the US.
The shock rocker was released from his contract after 'The High End of Low', which was released in May earlier this year, sold just 121,000 copies in America.
The singer told Metal Hammer: "We've just been released from our record contract with Interscope, so I think a lot of the creative control on which my hands were tied on a lot of choices - the music videos - things like that (has been regained).
"I was so restrained from the music that I wanted to make - what they would allow, they would put out, what ideas they would allow to be conveyed in these videos. At least half of my creative output has been squashed, so now I think people can expect a whole lot more."
Manson also revealed that he's currently working on new material which he described as "a bit like David Bowie's album 'Aladdin Sane'".
"I think it will be more badass," he added. "I think it’s going to be more romantic maybe. Self abusive."

Teen star Keke Palmer,16, was one of five young stars honored at Variety’s 3rd Annual Power of Youth Event on December 5, 2009.
The True Jackson VP actress received an award for her work with disadvantaged youth. Palmer is a spokesperson for The Boys and Girls Club’s program It’s Cool to Be Smart (ICTBS), which serves underprivileged kids by “providing access to role models, music artists and positive messages that encourage success in education”.

Hulk Hogan is tying the knot again.
The wrestler, 56, and his girlfriend of nearly two years, Jennifer McDaniel, are engaged, a source close to the couple confirms to Usmagazine.com.
New York's Daily News also reported that the two are getting married. "He is engaged and very happy," a source told the paper.
It is happy news for Hogan (nee Terry Bollea), who had been engaged in a bitter divorce battle with his ex-wife, Linda, for nearly two years. Linda, who wed Hulk in 1983, filed for divorce in November 2007.
A newspaper reporter was the first person to inform him about the split. "Holy smokes," he said upon hearing the news. "Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me."
The split grew increasingly ugly a short time later when Linda publicly began dating Charlie Hill who was one of their daughter Brooke's former classmates.
Hogan even complained to Rolling Stone about Linda leaving him for "some shaggy-haired pool boy 30 years her junior."
At one point in their split, Linda even accused Hulk of stalking her.
But in July, they settled their divorce. Terms of the agreement were not made public.
"The war is over," Linda told The Tampa Tribune. She even kissed her ex on the cheek in the courtroom. "I still love him. He's the father of my children."

| Smashing Pumpkins: "A Song for a Son" |

Billy Corgan has released the first song from his ambitious 44-song Smashing Pumpkins release. As he explained previously, the album will be titled Teargarden by Kaleidyscope and is expected to feature 44 songs with each song made available for free, to anyone anywhere.
The band's model for the record is to sell highly limited edition EPs (of four songs each times 11). Corgan promises that the EPs will be more like mini-box sets rather than your normal CD single. When the entire album is finished, it will be compiled into a deluxe box set which will also be made available for sale.

Jennifer Hudson's casting as the wife of Nelson Mandela has reportedly upset South African actors.
Agence France Presse reports that the Creative Workers' Union of South Africa believes that casting the American singer and actress as Winnie Mandela in upcoming biopic Winnie undermines the development of a film industry in the country.
"It can't happen that we want to develop our own Hollywood and yet bring in imports," the union's president Mabutho Sithole said.
The group now plans to advocate for a meeting with the departments of arts and culture, the trade industry and home affairs.
"This decision must be reversed, it must be stopped now. If the matter doesn't come up for discussion, we will push for a moratorium to be placed on the film being cast in South Africa. We are being undermined, there is no respect at all," union secretary general Oupa Lebogo added.
The criticism precedes the opening of Clint Eastwood's Invictus, another film centred on Nelson Mandela's role in South Africa's Rugby World Cup victory in 1995.

There's no question Andrew W.K. has been busy enough this year, what with his improv piano work, anime covers, Exclaim! sleepovers and, of course, defending his identity, but the party-minded rocker just keeps piling on the new projects. Now it's been announced that the rocker has recorded a new version of the The Simpsons theme.
According to a report from LimeWire, W.K. paired up with underground hip-hop crew People Under the Stairs to record their version of the classic theme. Apparently, W.K. scats over a turntablist hip-hop track, and the song supposedly took a whole two days to perfect.
W.K. and the People Under the Stairs' collaborative Simpsons theme is set to air as the show concludes its 20th season this January. On the same episode, Coldplay's Chris Martin will contribute his voice-acting talents. So, really, it's like a weird Andrew W.K./People Under the Stairs/Chris Martin collaboration.

Donald Faison first won our hearts as Murray in 'Clueless' and for close to a decade he's been Turk on the hit medical comedy 'Scrubs.' Aside from his general television success, Faison popped into our minds recently when we cast him to play Tiger Woods in the sure-to-be-made TV movie about the ongoing sex scanal. So, PopEater was able to catch up with Faison, who called from the 'Scrubs' set where he routinely puts in 12-hour days, to chat about the show, his personal life, why he's a "blerd" and yes, the possibility of playing Mr. Tiger Woods.
So how many years has 'Scrubs' been on? 23 or 24?
Something like that. Actually it's been 9 years, which is awesome. If we go 20 more years, I think we'll be the longest running TV show.
So not all that long to go.
It's just that 'The Simpsons' are so far ahead of us.

FORMER I'm a Celeb star David Gest has admitted he regrets having plastic surgery - and blamed pal Michael Jackson for making him do it.
Gest, 56, had two facelifts and a nose job, but says he wishes he had kept his original features.
Liza Minnelli's ex-husband said: "I had surgery when I was very young and it was the stupidest thing I've ever done.
"Michael Jackson kept saying, 'You should have plastic surgery'. I got my nose done and he said, 'Do more, do more'. It was stupid. "If I had my way I'd go back to my original big nose with a bit of a hook in it. It looked great."

Rosie O’Donnell has raised the ire of skin cancer prevention groups after saying she can’t get enough of the sun during a recent talk show appearance with Rachael Ray.
Skin cancer prevention groups are furious over recent comments by Rosie O’Donnell. During an appearance on Rachael Ray, a burnt umber O’Donnell declared that she “lives to tan,” and said that exposure to the sun isn’t dangerous. The comments angered officials at the Ray Festa Melanoma Foundation, which labeled her remarks “dangerous” and ill-informed. Cartoonist and foundation supporter Marisa Marchetto responded to O’Donnell, saying, “Going out into the sun without protection is as, or even more dangerous, than having unprotected sex.”
The foundation has requested that O’Donnell make amends by doing public service announcements about the hazards of sun exposure and risks of skin cancer.
O'Donnell has not responded to criticism over her comments.
